You must be a current Grand Valley State University student to submit to fishladder. You may submit multiple works to multiple genres, but you are limited to three fiction pieces (20 pages or less), three nonfiction pieces (20 pages or less), five poems, and three drama pieces per academic year, as well as five photos and five art pieces per submission deadline.
Submit all works by email according to intended genre:

Do not include your name anywhere on your submission(s). In the body of the email, please include:
- your name
- your G-number
- the title(s) of your work(s)
- medium/media (for art submissions)
- an email address you check often
- your phone number
A fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or drama submission must be a Microsoft Word document in a common, legible font. Please become familiar with the kind of material that fishladder publishes; our nonfiction, in particular, is creative rather than scholarly.
Photography and art should have at least 300dpi resolution. Color works should be CMYK format.
